President’s Message-Update on Amenities

President’s Message
Update on Amenities
May 16, 2020

Greetings –
The Board and Management have been monitoring applicable guidance, including that issued by the State and Manatee County, our extended Castle management team, and legal counsel. We also have been carefully considering the resources that Bel Mare has to comply with these. Accordingly, it is likely that our Fitness Center will be able to open during the coming week subject to applicable restrictions. Additionally and effective immediately, outside guests are allowed to use Bel Mare’s amenities that have re-opened.

At this time, the State prohibits gatherings of more than 10 people, and requires social distancing of at least 6 feet. These must be adhered to both in public and at Bel Mare.

Bel Mare is also following State guidance with respect to movie theaters, which remain closed.

The Guest Suites remain closed as Management continues to gather information about resources necessary to allow them to safely open.

This has been an incredibly difficult period for everyone (that means every one of us) who has had to suspend normal and previously innocuous activities like grilling food, sitting on a chair at the Amenities Deck, or hugging a friend you haven’t seen for a while. It has been difficult for Board members tasked with making decisions in the best interests of the Association.

Please help by taking personal responsibility for recommended precautions as gathering places at Bel Mare cautiously re-open. Wash your hands. Don’t touch your face. Practice social distancing of 6 feet. Don’t gather in groups of more than 10 people. Respectfully ask those around you to do the same.

Stay safe and well, and thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding as we adjust to the “new normal.”

Best,
Valerie Biebuyck
Bel Mare Board President
