PHASE I OF AMENITIES RE-OPENING:
POOLS, SPAS, GRILLS, TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURTS, BOCCE COURT OPEN AT 2:00 PM TODAY, MONDAY MAY 4TH |
As of today, Manatee County is allowing the re-opening of public beaches, subject to restrictions. |
| The Bel Mare Board continues to use the actions of government and public health officials, and consultation with our management team and legal counsel, to guide decisions relative to closure and opening of our amenities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Accordingly, and consistent with our Governing Documents, the Board has adopted a policy to re-open amenities in phases with certain restrictions. Phase I includes the re-opening of the Buildings 1 and 2 pools, Buildings 1 and 2 spas, Buildings 1 and 2 grills, tennis/pickleball courts, and bocce court as of 2:00 today. |
| Reopening is subject to the following restrictions regarding social distancing and sanitizing certain surfaces that MUST be respected: |
| POOL USE • Chairs and lounge chairs will be placed 10 feet apart. o Please do not move them closer to each other than this, even with members of your own household. o You must sanitize them before and after each use. Please bring something with you to accomplish this, such as Clorox wipes or spray disinfectant and paper towels. • You must place a towel on the chair or lounge chair before using it. • Tables will be placed for use near seating. o Please do not gather in groups around the tables. o Sanitize tables before and after use according to the above instructions. o Cover the table with a towel before using. |
| SPA USE • No more than four people at a time are allowed in each spa. • Observe social distancing with at least 6 feet of space between yourself and anyone else in the spa. |
| GRILL USE • You must sanitize the handles on the grill covers before and after each use. Please bring something with you to accomplish this, such as Clorox wipes or spray disinfectant and paper towels. • Please use your own cooking utensils, as these will not be supplied by the Association for shared use. • Observe social distancing with at least 6 feet of space between yourself and anyone else grilling or standing in the area. • Two tables, each with two chairs, will be placed at the grill area for use while eating. o Please do not move them closer to each other than this, even with members of your own household. o You must sanitize them before and after each use. Please bring something with you to accomplish this, such as Clorox wipes or spray disinfectant and paper towels. o Cover tables and chairs with towels or tablecloth before use. o Clean the grills after you have used them. |
| TENNIS/PICKLEBALL COURT USE • Observe social distancing with at least 6 feet of space between yourself and anyone else in the area. |
| BOCCE COURT • Observe social distancing with at least 6 feet of space between yourself and anyone else in the area. • The equipment provided by the Association is in the Fitness Center, which is not yet open for use, so you must use your own bocce equipment. |
| Security will be patrolling to ensure compliance with these requirements. The guards will not necessarily know the individuals within your household, so social distancing is expected of everyone. If you do not comply with any of these requirements, you will be asked to leave the area. |
| Additionally, violations are subject to the fines outlined in Bel Mare’s Governing Documents Violation and Fine Enforcement Policy (available on the website). |
| Consistent noncompliance with these requirements will result in closure of the amenities to everyone until further notice. |
| The requirements outlined above are intended to keep us and those around us safe as we all try to adjust to the “new normal” resulting from the pandemic, and we look forward to everyone’s cooperation in that effort. |
