Everyone –
Effective as of noon today, all common area amenities are closed. This includes pools, spas, movie theaters, billiards rooms, and fitness center. All owners, residents, and their guests cannot use them until further notice.
The Board is making this difficult decision under its emergency powers authorized by Governor DeSantis’ Executive Order declaring a state of emergency in Florida in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Board is not giving professional medical advice and is not in a position to do so. This difficult decision was made after consultation with Bel Mare’s management team and attorney. It is consistent with actions of state and local authorities, which have closed public gathering places such as beaches, gyms, and restaurants. Any decision to reopen our amenities will be consistent with the decisions of these authorities, as well, and we will let you know as soon as possible when that happens.
The Board has already prohibited social gatherings and in-person meetings. We will let you know when that ban is lifted, as well.
